Officials: Students, staff safe after Terry Parker High evacuated

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bomb threats interrupted class at three Northeast Florida high schools on Tuesday.

Duval County Public Schools said Wolfson High School was put on a brief Code Yellow until law enforcement determined a bomb threat was false.

Students at Fernandina Beach High were evacuated around 10:20 a.m. after a student found a bomb threat on a crumpled piece of paper in a bathroom.

The note said a bomb would detonate inside the school at 10:50 a.m.

Officers and school employees searched the school and did not find any threats to students.

They returned to class around 11:50 a.m.

Terry Parker High School was evacuated Tuesday morning because of a bomb threat.

Duval County School Police and officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were investigating.

Police told Action News Jax someone called in a bomb threat.

The students were moved to Arlington Middle School and were eventually allowed to return to the school.
