GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A University of Florida dorm caught on fire Saturday afternoon.
A fire started in the laundry room of the Keys Residential Complex shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday. The UF Public Safety Twitter account tweeted that the fire was contained to the laundry room of the building.
Residents of the Keys were allowed to wait in the nearby O'Connell Center while crews attempted to extinguish the flames.
At about 7:45 p.m. crews cleared the scene and residents were allowed back into their homes.
No details as to what started the fire have been released. There were no reported injuries.
