Woman arrested in the April shooting death of 36-year-old man

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 30-year-old woman has been arrested charged with murder in the April death of a 36-year-old man, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO).

Action News Jax told you JSO officers responded to a house burglary on Kennard Street on April 10 where they discovered the victim suffering from trauma to the upper part of his body.

Members of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Homicide and Crime Scene Units launched an investigation and identified Jasman Marie Evans, 30, as a possible person of interest.

Now the Sheriff’s Office said Evans has been officially charged with murder.
