Jurors on Tuesday found former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the May 2020 death of George Floyd, 46.
In Jacksonville, people gathered downtown outside of the Duval County Public Schools headquarters ahead of the reading of the verdict.
After it was announced that Chauvin was found guilty on all counts, the people listening to the verdict being broadcast over loudspeakers began cheering.
