Trinity Christian camping out in Georgia

MANOR, Ga. — The sun may not be up but Trinity Christian sure is, the Conquerors beginning practice under moonlight in Manor, just outside Waycross. Every year the team spends a couple days away from Jacksonville and all the distractions of life at Camp Okefenokee.

It won't be the only trip to the Peach State for Trinity this year, with the season opener on Aug. 23 at Buford under the lights on national TV. The Wolves are a perennial state power in Georgia, setting up a great matchup.

Head coach Verlon Dorminey has his share of players as well with double digits headed to play Division 1 football including top five ranked nationally recruit Kevin Toliver. Trinity hopes to bring home another state championship, this time going into the season as an overwhelming favorite.
