Jacksonville Sharks in playoff pursuit

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sharks playoffs begin this Monday. The official start to the Arena Football League postseason is still a few weeks away but for the Sharks to make it that far they must win their three remaining games and get some help from around the league.

Since the inaugural season the Sharks have won the division and made the playoffs every year but injuries and other factors have the team sitting at 6-9 heading into Monday night's home game against New Orleans. Jacksonville must beat the VooDoo this week and then follow it up with wins over Cleveland and Los Angeles. They also need some help with two out of three of the teams they're chasing needing to lose out. That group includes Tampa Bay, Orlando, and Philadelphia.
