Nice morning with a few clouds and mild temperatures in the low 70s at the coast and mid 60s inland. Another partly sunny and warm (maybe even hot) day with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. A few showers move into SE GA this afternoon/evening but Jax & NE FL look dry. Rain threat picks up Tuesday and early Wednesday with an approaching cold front, which brings afternoon highs down into the low 80s and upper 70s late week.
TROPICS: Tropical Storm Melissa is weakening over the open waters of the North Atlantic. Three tropical waves are present (West Caribbean, Central Atlantic, off the West African Coast) with no imminent threat to the U.S. The West African wave may become a depression or "Nestor" within the next few days.
