Reporter

Caysea Stone joined the Action News Jax team as a reporter in March 2026. She comes from Orlando, where she graduated with her degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). At UCF, she was Managing Editor for the university’s Her Campus chapter, overseeing hundreds of articles alongside the editor-in-chief from pitch to publication. Her broadcast experience stems from the Charge On Air, where she shed light on the aftermath of the Pulse tragedy and the ongoing battle victim family members continue to face in their quest for a Pulse Memorial. She also spoke with U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost after the office of Gun Violence Prevention shut down, State Sen. Carlos Guillermo Smith on increasing concerns surrounding the permanence of legal same-sex marriage and student body organizations on all sides of the political spectrum during the 2024 Presidential Election. Her coverage centers on ensuring communities feel seen and heard, often localizing national issues, speaking to diversity politics, and holding officials accountable. You can reach out to Stone directly about concerns in your neighborhood at Caysea.Stone@actionnewsjax.com. When she’s not reporting, you can find her walking around Riverside, exploring new vegan eats and doing yoga in the park. If you see her, come say hi!
