Crash in Putnam County involving a tractor trailer and pickup truck

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — According to Florida Highway Patrol, at around 8:10 a.m., a tractor trailer and a pickup truck collided.

The tractor trailer was traveling north on US 17 on the right lane and intended on making a right turn onto TR Williams Lane but rode past the entrance. The tractor trailer began to back up on US 17 still on the right lane and eventually stopped.

The pickup truck was traveling north on US 17 in the right lane. The pickup struck the rear of the trailer in tow.

The driver of the trailer was not injured. The pickup truck driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
