JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Jacksonville Beach police remained at the scene early Thursday investigating after a person was found dead under the pier. Officers were called to the area the previous night at about 9:52 p.m. in response to a disturbance under the pier in the 500 block of Beach Proper North, a police news release states.
Officers arrived at the location and found a deceased male, the news release states. Police did not give any details on the person’s age, identity, or how they died.
The pier remained cordoned off with police tape early Thursday with multiple officers on the scene investigating. Police said they would release more details later in the day.
