JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened Wednesday night on Southside Boulevard at Cargal Street.
According to FHP, the crash involved a white Hyundai and a bicyclist.
Troopers said a 77-year-old Jacksonville man was walking alongside his bicycle when he was hit by the car.
The man “failed to yield” to the car who troopers said had the right of way and walked into the path of the car, according to a traffic report.
He died of his injuries. The 27-year-old driver was not hurt in the crash.
