JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A neighbor discovered a man’s body on the side of a road on Jacksonville’s Northside on Christmas Day, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO says the body of a 31-year-old white male was found around noon Wednesday at the end of the 4400 Block of West Cole Road.
JSO says the man was pronounced dead upon arrival and foul play is suspected due to signs of unknown trauma.
Investigators believe the body had been on the side of the road for at least 12 hours before it was discovered. Police are still trying to figure out if the victim was killed somewhere else and his body was dropped off at this location.
JSO did not release the victim’s name or explain the circumstances surrounding his death.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
