JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Mixon Town Friday morning.
Just after midnight, police said officers and first responders arrived to the 400 block of Broward Street because of a reported shooting.
When they arrived, they found a man in the road who had been shot at least once. He was taken to the hospital, according to JSO, where he died.

Police said they are a speaking to a witness who they said is cooperating with their investigation.
The suspect police are searching for may have left the area in a light-colored sedan, but police said they are still working to confirm that information.
Action News Jax reporter Alicia Tarancon spoke to a neighbor who said he called 911 to report the shooting after hearing at least six gunshots.
