JSO: Man shot in dispute at apartments in Monterey neighborhood

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Bert Road.

According to detectives, officers responded at around 6:45 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to the hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

JSO said that it has taken the suspect into custody and that there is no further danger to the community. The believe the shooting was a result of some dispute, but it is unknown whether the suspect and the victim knew each other.

At this point, police don’t believe this shooting was connected to any of the weekend shootings.
