Nicole Thomas named Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville’s new president

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Nicole Thomas was named the new president of Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

Thomas made history in 2016 when she became the first African American and female president to lead a Baptist Health hospital.

Thomas first joined Baptist Health in 2011 as vice president of operations and specialty services.

From there she became senior vice president in 2014 and then in 2016 she became president of Baptist Medical Center South.

For 25 years Thomas has served in health care while volunteering and leading other organizations. She has been recognized in magazines and received several awards.
