JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The governor made his announcement about nursing homes being allowed to open for visitors on Tuesday. However, it’s up to each facility to implement the new procedures and it will take several days before some are ready.

Jax Nursing and Rehab said it will be ready for visitors on September 11. At that time, they will contact each individual facility to set up appointments.
Each resident can designate up to five visitors, but only two will be allowed in at a time.

Each facility must have no positive COVID-19 cases for at least fourteen days before re-opening.
