The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating two deadly crashes in Jacksonville Tuesday morning.
Troopers said the first crash happened on I-295 northbound near New Kings Road at approximately 1:15 a.m.
Antuan Lenard Shaw, 33, of Tampa, Florida, the driver of a Nissan Sentra, died after he ran off the roadway "for an unknown reason," and hit the inside and outside barriers on I-295, FHP said.
His car collided with a Chevy Impala that was unable to avoid him and hit the left side of the car, according to authorities.
Troopers say a Jacksonville man identified as Antonio Christopher, 32, was driving the Impala and was seriously injured.
All northbound lanes were blocked on I-295 but have since reopened.
