Father hit and killed by Glynn County police car

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A police officer’s car hit and killed a local father as he was walking down the street early Wednesday morning. Investigators said the officer tried to avoid hitting 24-year-old Nathan Bosley, but was unable to.

A family is in shock, after their loved one’s death. They’re not only stunned that Bosley died, but also how it happened.

“I’m completely at a loss, this was very unexpected,” said Josh Bosley, the victim’s cousin.

Investigators said Nathan Bosley got into an argument while riding with his girlfriend and got out of the car. Police said he started walking in the street near the intersection of Walker Road and Spur 25 when he was hit by a police car. Investigators said the officer tried to avoid hitting Bosley, but was unable to, and that Bosley was at fault.

“He was just such a passionate person that, like, I imagine whatever they were arguing about had to be very serious,” said Bosley.

Bosley was the father of a young boy. His cousin, Josh, thought the world of him.

“He’s one of the (most) kind-hearted people you would meet,” he said. “I’m really not sure how I’m going to be able to deal with this.”
