HEAL Autism walk at the Jacksonville Zoo

On Sunday thousands gathered at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens to raise money and support for autism in our community.

The HEAL Autism walk is an annual fundraising event that celebrates local families impacted by autism. The Ponte Vedra-based Helping Enrich Autistic Lives Foundation started the walk ten years ago to raise money for grants. Since then, the walk has continued to evolve.

All of the funds raised stay right here in North Florida to benefit local autism programs and the top four fundraising teams will get to direct a HEAL grant to their favorite school, camp or program serving those with autism.

Action News Jax is a proud media partner for HEAL. We're excited to bring you stories about the important work they are doing for autism in our local community.
