JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Officers responded to a domestic dispute at the Pinebreeze Mobile Home Park Friday night.
The man inside the home choked a woman during an argument, said the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The woman and a child in the home made it out safely.

The man then locked himself inside the home and police spent several hours trying to get the man to surrender, but he wouldn't.
Police took his girlfriend and the child to a safe place, and put out a warrant for his arrest. The suspect also has a violation of probation for another domestic battery incident.
Police did not arrest him after the incident because they did not think he was a danger to anyone but the woman, who is in a safe place.
JSO said a warrant will be issued for his arrest. Officers are continuing to investigate.
