Suspicious person turns out to be man wanted for attempted murder, Jacksonville police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man wanted on suspicion of attempted murder was found Thursday at The Park at Marbella Apartments.

Officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were called out to the complex at 7:11 p.m. about a suspicious person.

After arriving at the scene and detaining Willie Lee Moorer Jr., 39, police learned there was a warrant for his arrest on charges of kidnapping with a firearm, attempted murder in the second degree and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Duval County jail records show he is being held on a $1,365,518 bond.
