More dry days ahead, tropical moisture by mid-week

Jacksonville, Fl — Morning temperatures fell into the upper 60s inland and 70s at the coast. Highs today will rebound to the upper 80s inland and mid to upper 80s at the beaches. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says we won’t see rain today.

Tomorrow will be warm in the upper 80s in the afternoon with only an isolated shower or storm developing. We will likely eventually see an enhancement of moisture from the remnants of “Nicholas” as it moves slowly east over land this week.

There is a lot to track across the tropics and as menacing as the maps may appear, Buresh says none of the current systems will directly impact Jacksonville. A disturbance is expected to develop this week about 200 miles northeast of Jacksonville, and moves north.

There is a tropical wave that will move off the West Coast of Africa that is expected to develop over the next few days as it moves westward.
