While Hanna Wilks, 26, was on a phone call with a male inmate at the Nassau County Detention Facility, staff members noticed her two children in the car unsupervised for approximately 20 minutes, according to a NCSO arrest report.

The car was reportedly on, as was the air conditioning.

When deputies approached Wilks, she said she left them in the car because she had no one to watch them and was not sure if children were allowed inside the jail.

Wilks was arrested for not providing proper supervision for the children and was booked into the same facility.
