North Florida nonprofit HEAL helps to enrich autistic lives in our area

According to the CDC, 1 in 59 children will be diagnosed with autism. If your child is diagnosed with autism in North Florida, there are resources here to help.

Local nonprofit HEAL is dedicated to helping our local autism community through funding, education and support services.

HEAL, which stands for Helping Enrich Autistic Lives, was founded by Leslie and Bobby Weed. The organization has granted over $2 million in support services in the Northeast Florida area and donated over 350 iPads to local classrooms.

Action News Jax is proud partner with the HEAL Foundation, to share stories about how the organization is transforming autistic lives in our community.

So far this year we have shared how HEAL is working around-the-clock for our autism community, from summer camps, including a golf camp and surf camp, to educational enhancements and iPads for ESE Classrooms.
