Patriot Oaks Academy memorializes Tristyn Bailey in double-page yearbook spread

ST JOHNS COUNTY — Patriot Oaks Academy is honoring Tristyn Bailey on what would have been the St. Johns County teen’s 8th-grade graduation.

Tristyn’s mom Stacy shared a photo of the double-page yearbook spread, writing:

Today marks the day you would have closed a chapter in your life and started a new one.

Today is a hard day, just like every day but today was a day just for you. A day for the family to rally you in your accomplishments, hear dad say how proud he is of you, mom tell you to smile for the camera, me to edit your graduation picture to post on Instagram, Alexis to try and bring her dog to your graduation, Teegan to tell you ‘you did it’, and Sophia to ask if we can get Dairy Queen on the way home.

Today would have been a great day.

ONE YEAR LATER: Tristyn Bailey’s former cheer coaches remember her as a hard worker and kind friend
