White House accepting applications for fall 2017 internship program

The White House is accepting applications for its 2017 internship program. The application period is open through 11:59 p.m. June 16.  The internship will run from Sept. 6 to Dec. 8.

Currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate college students are encouraged to apply.

Recent college graduates are also eligible after graduating from a college, community college, or university no more than two years before the start date of the internship.

Veterans of the U.S. armed forces who have a high school diploma and have served on active duty during the two years before the internship start date are also eligible.

The White House Internship Program is highly competitive.

Applicants are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to public service, leadership in the community, and commitment to the administration.
