Coronavirus: New COVID-19 vaccine appointments to open every Thursday in Duval County

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —

Every Thursday, starting Jan. 7, new COVID-19 vaccine appointments will be added to the Department of Health’s website.

Vaccines will take place at the Prime Osborn Center in Lavilla.

For now, it is only open to those 65 and over, as well as medical workers.

The link for appointments will change each week and new appointments will be added every Thursday evening for the following week.

Appointments can only be booked online. Previously, you could call in.

On Monday, 4,000 people people filled out the online form incorrectly.

Due to a glitch in the system, they still received a confirmation email.

They will now be in the mix of people trying to re-apply for a vaccine appointment.
