JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Well-known Jacksonville attorney John Phillips tweeted a screenshot of a message from Epping-Forest Yacht & Country Club informing members that the club’s fitness center will be closed for several days to allow for “professional grade cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectant solutions.”
The message said a person who used the gym on Monday, March 9 tested positive for COVID-19. It encourages anyone who used the facility since then to minimize contact with others and monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.
Hey @lennycurry, you see this? it’s a reminder that it’s literally that easy to spread. Notice to @ymca across the country. Keep up the good work. pic.twitter.com/E6Vkd5cBRb

The closure includes the facility’s gym, locker rooms, Cub Den and pool areas.
