Local leadership, including Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the State Attorney’s Office, are coordinating support services with Hubbard House, to help survivors find safety.

Beth, a domestic violence survivor and advocate, emphasized the difficulty of breaking free from abusive relationships and urged victims to seek help before it is too late.
“The biggest challenge you have as someone who goes through abuse is the promises. ‘I promise it won’t happen again’ and then six months later ... it becomes almost a cycle,” Beth said.
