PICS: Jacksonville police officers create ‘Christmas for the Kids’

Jacksonville, Fla. — More than 200 kids got a special holiday treat from some Jacksonville police officers Monday.

The Police Athletic League of Jacksonville, or JaxPAL, hosted “Christmas for the Kids”.

Officers, including Sheriff T.K. Waters, treated the kids with a trip to Walmart and let them pick out some of their favorite things.

Kids got to visit Santa, sing some carols, and even spread some cheer to the Grinch.

JaxPAL has been working since 1972 to create a positive relationship between law enforcement and the community.

It offers several sports, education and outreach programs.
