Two Maids of Palm Valley joins Cleaning for a Reason to help cancer patients

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — Two Maids of Palm Valley, a residential cleaning service in Jacksonville, has partnered with the nonprofit organization Cleaning for a Reason to provide free home cleaning to cancer patients. Under the partnership, the local business will serve two patients per month.

Cleaning for a Reason was founded in 2006 to support patients battling cancer by offering complimentary home cleaning services. The organization relies on a network of residential cleaning companies, industry volunteers and community supporters across all 50 U.S. states and Canada.

Since its inception, Cleaning for a Reason and its partner companies have provided free house cleaning services to more than 65,000 cancer patients and their families. The donated services are valued at more than $23 million.

Joshua Henderson is the owner of Two Maids of Palm Valley. Prior to opening the cleaning business, Henderson served as a Ranger in the U.S. Army, completing five deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

The decision to support cancer patients aligns with personal experiences shared by members of the company. “Most of us have experienced cancer first-hand and we know that the kindness and service of others is a blessing that can provide some comfort and peace of mind in challenging times,” Henderson said.

He added that Two Maids is “proud to play a small part in that effort.”In addition to its commitment to cancer patients, Two Maids of Palm Valley partners with Alliance for Hope International to help provide support and care for survivors of domestic violence.
