A local 29-year-old mother says she survived COVID-19 after being sick for about 40 days.

As a single mother, she said she could not afford intense hospital treatment for a long period of time. Instead, her primary care doctor helped her arrange home health care with Baptist Health.
“The symptoms alone make you feel like you’re going to die and then up here (mentally) you start to panic because there’s nothing that makes your feel better,” Meghan Debbie said.

“The home health care nurses were just amazing and they truly are heroes,” Debbie said.
