Florida — Gold Star father and president of Florida Fallen Heroes, Dave Seamans, tells us his son Timothy was killed by an IED in Iraq in August 2005.
Seamans says today is an especially solemn and emotional day for his family, as they honor Timothy’s life on Memorial Day.

Seamans tells us the coronavirus’ impact on traditional Memorial Day festivities, such as ceremonies held at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, and the Memorial Wall at TIAA Bank Field has been hard on families looking to honor their fallen heroes as they would normally.
The City of Jacksonville live-streamed a virtual memorial day service at the wall today, and the program at the National Cemetery was held on a limited basis.
Seamans tells us he understands why safety measures were taken amid the coronavirus pandemic, and was glad these activities were able to happen, even if on a limited basis.
