JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — 9:30 p.m. UPDATE: At a media briefing this evening, the Jacksonville Beach mayor, Chris Hoffman, and Sgt. Tator of the Jacksonville Beach Police Department confirmed that four individuals were shot, including one minor and three adults.
The victims were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and police are asking the community to share any information that could help the investigation.
The area remains closed while investigators continue to work.
8:30 p.m. The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said it is working multiple investigations in the area of Beach Boulevard and 2nd Street and warns people to stay away from the area.
As of 8:12 p.m., 3rd Street South is closed to all traffic in both directions from Beach Blvd. to 3rd Avenue South.
The police department has officers on scene and has put detour routes in place to help direct traffic around the closure.
