St. Augustine selling face masks to local businesses

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — The City of St. Augustine said it is selling face masks for purchase starting Monday, May 11 to local businesses to ensure the safety of business owners and their staff and customers amid the pandemic.

If you a business owner in St. Augustine and are interested in masks, complete an inventory request online by clicking here. Business must order a minimum of 100 masks (two boxes).

“We wanted to be able to provide assistance that would help lessen the financial burden of some of the safety recommendations set forth by CDC and OSHA as part of the re-opening strategy,” City Manager John Regan said. “With the city’s ability to purchase face masks in large, bulk quantities, we can offer an affordable option as these businesses get back on their feet.”

The city said it has ordered 125,000 masks and will consider placing an additional order if needed.
